John "Herb"'s Story
PLEASE - If you feel the uncontrollable and irrational urge to communicate with me, please send me an email at: jherbjherb (at) netscape (dot) net - Looking forward to hearing from you. REALLY!!!
Not a GOLD member (ever!, almost!) If you sign my guestbook I will NEVER, EVER, EVER AGAIN be able to see it (except for one year starting about July 19, 2011, and that has expired. I sent my '69 Yearbook for scanning and they were kind enough to give me a free year dis-membership). Please figure out my email above. There will be a test!
The Battle Cry of the Republic: SISCO DUCKS!!!
I always wanted to be a grownup when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a bad idea. As it turns out, they were RIGHT!.
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have drugs, a frontal lobotomy, and drugs to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
My current age is 59, er, 60, er, 61. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be functionally senile. I was so completely - What? Did you say something?.
My best friend would tell you I'm boring, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as boring.
I share my home with spiders, stinkbugs and a stampeding herd of Gnus, which I find invigorating.

ob was at a boarding stable, where I got paid weakly to shovel digestive discharge. What I remember most about it is getting my sorry ass kicked out of a stall (by a horse, of course! - not Ed).
The after-school fight with Rick Linken, but I forgot his name. Where in the world are Bob Borkon and Richard Dinsmore???
Do I have a sense of humor? Don't make me laugh!
Back in Jersey I used to belong to a Van Club called Truckers Elite, part of the New Jersey Van Council. Remember "Mongoose"? I still have the van and if I ever hit the lottery BIG, I have plans to do a serious restoration and major modification. A hybrid gas/electric monster, extended, with 6 wheels. Hey, dreams are cheap!!!
These days I'm retired. That means tired again and again. I've got a nice home with a big "family" room, pool table, bar and fireplace. I have a California King heated waterbed to which I retire (there's that word again!) when I am tired. I am a chauffeur, concierge, confidant, co-conspirator, coordinator, cashier, companion, cache of useless information, cantankerous old coot, confused, casual, clever, cute, cocky, comedic, complacent, comfortable, (hang on while I check with Webster for more "C" words)... brave, clean and reverent.
Whew!
